Bacillus

  • Gram positive bacilli
  • Spore forming
  • Aerobic

B. anthracis

  • Causes anthrax
  • 99% skin lesions with necrotic centre
  • 1% pulmonary, causing oedema, haemorrhage, septicaemia and often death.

B. cereus

  • Looks like rice, get it from badly refridgerated cooked rice.
  • Vomiting or diarrhoea
